About Virginia

Virginia Hurst is an Artist from Townsville, Australia who focuses on the aesthetic of her work and its engagement with the viewer,often working within a particular concept. The pure pleasure of creating is the driving force behind her art, along with the belief that Art need not be complicated.  Virginia has always had a strong opinion of this notion, having carried it through her work while studying until present day.

 

Virginia welcomes commissions from people looking to transform a favourite photograph into a painting, and will endeavour to capture the essence of each image with her own style. Virginia's main focus is portraiture, however she enjoys approaching a range of subjects.
